Entry Requirements

The following general entry requirements are applied:

  • A Bachelor's or equivalent undergraduate degree (180 ECTS) from a recognized university, in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent subjects. If proof of qualification is not available at the time of application, such students will be provisionally selected and required to submit it by 1st July to finalize the admission procedure. A completed Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education of 3 years or more, equivalent to 180 ECTS credits.

  • Background. The consortium identifies knowledge, capabilities and behaviours required to participate to the GSEEM. The consortium requires knowledge on basic software engineering, object oriented design, and programming languages. The student shall be able to solve basic software engineering problems (e.g., given a concurrent system, how can we test it? how can we prioritize requirements? when to use a client-server architecture instead of a three tier one?), to build a given software engineering artefact (e.g., a requirements model, a design model), to improve and fix a given design. The student shall be eager to learn new technologies and methods, instead of only looking at technologies or methods in his/her knowledge, capable to share and produce knowledge in a team.
  • A satisfactory scholastic average, a minimum 3.0 (B) grade average in Bachelor's degree work.

Candidates will be considered after evaluation on an individual basis.

Please note that Students may apply for this program also during their last year of the Bachelor phase.
